Monica Ruffin
Assistant Principal of Jones Senior High School
Ms. Monica Ruffin holds twelve years of experience as a classroom teacher and curriculum specialist. For the past two years, Ms. Ruffin has served as an Assistant Principal at a K-8 school. Her educational background involves an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from North Carolina Central University and a master's degree from East Carolina University in Elementary Education. Ms. Ruffin also obtained a K-12 Principal's License from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Ms. Ruffin was selected to participate in the NC Future Ready Leader 22-23 cohort with other assistant principals across the state of NC.

Kindergarten Registration Information


You are invited to the Educators of Color Event, to be held on April 3 @ 5:30 at JSHS. The Educators of Color board consists of Barbara Lee, Suddona Murrell, Nadine Gordon, Kayli Kreais, and Jimmy Frederick. I've also invited Dawn Kantz from LCC and teachers representatives from all elementary schools. Dinner will be served at the event for the students and the parents.
