Love the Bus!

Due to impending weather, all after school activities for Wednesday (January 25th, 2023) have been cancelled for Jones County Public Schools.
Recently, the NCHSAA has voted to raise the pay for all officials by 10% per game. This pay increase went into effect on January 1st, 2023. Due to this increase, our conference has voted to raise ticket prices from $7 to $8 a ticket. The conference made this decision, and these new ticket prices will continue throughout the remainder of the 2022-23 sports season. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Regarding the power outage in Maysville. MES does currently have power. Students will be fed lunch now. We anticipate a power outage within the next hour for repairs. School will remain in session. If there is a change, you will be notified ASAP.
MES will have a double bus route this afternoon. Students who live in town will be dropped off first and students living down White Oak River Road and Long Point will be taken home after that. Please be patient and on the lookout!
Mustang Families,
As an extra safety precaution, MES will limit the number of visitors in the building beginning immediately.
This means that you will not enter the building to check a student in or out. You will ring the buzzer/bell and Mrs. Hurley will communicate through the security phones and we will ensure your student is checked in or out as quickly as possible.
All younger students (PreK-2nd) will be escorted to parents by a Mustang Leader. You may recognize that these procedures are similar to what they have been over the last couple of years while dealing with COVID. Please be patient with us as OUR students' safety is our number one concern. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Gillis at mandi.gillis@jonesnc.net.
Thank you!
