building the math code

Dear Parents,

Jones Senior High School is proud to offer a new after school math program titled, Building the MATH Code for all JSHS students grades 6-8! We are very excited to have the opportunity to serve you and your children. From 3pm–4:30pm, your child can participate in math review using computer coding, enjoy a snack, and work with their peers in using DASH and SPHERO robots!

The program will run from February 21-March 3, M-F, from 3:00pm-4:30pm.

We want structure and variety in the After School Program; therefore, our daily routine will be organized in the following way:

•              3:00-3:15 – attendance/snack time

•              3:15-3:30 – warm up math question

•              3:30-4:00 – coding activities using the math concept

•              4:00-4:30 – extension activity

•              4:30 – student pick-up in the HS Loop

If you would like to sign your child up, please fill out the form at the following link: https://tinyurl.com/jshsbuildingthemathcode

Pick up is at 4:30 pm.

If you have any questions, would like more information, or have a barrier that would keep your child from participating, please do not hesitate to contact us at the JSHS office at 252-448-2451 or email Kayli Kreais at kayli.kreais@jonesnc.net.

We look forward to seeing your children at Building the Math Code!

Sincerely,

Kaylie Kreais
