Welcome back to our classroom!! I am looking forward to spending time with each and every one of you as we grow and develop all our skills.  Let me tell you a little about me.  I am originally from Lenoir County where I attended school and later taught for 16 years.  I earned a B.S. in Elementary Education and Reading from ECU and later returned to get my Masters of Education in Mental Retardation, Severe and Profound, Learning Disabilities, and Behavior/Emotional Handicapped. I love to learn and hope to inspire my students to have that same love.  I married a hometown boy, Kim and we have three children, Chris (24), Madeline (16) and Walker (15) a beautiful daughter-in-law Sarah and my first grandbaby is due in September. I am truly blessed and thank God for each of them.  I enjoy spending time at the beach and watching PIRATE football.  If I’m not enjoying time with my family you will find me curled up with a good book.  I LOVE to READ!!!!

I am excited about working with each of my students and their families to EMPOWER TODAY’S YOUTH TO BECOME TOMORROW’S LEADERS.   It will require all of us working together to have a successful year.  Please feel free to contact me.  My door is always open.
