Jones County Public Schools is committed to providing a free appropriate education (FAPE) designed through the Individual Education Program (IEP) Team process that meets each exceptional child’s educational, social/emotional and vocational needs necessary in preparing each student for the demands of the 21st Century.
Our school system provides the necessary supports and related services in the implement of each child’s educational program. We ensure student and parental rights, professional involvement of dedicated JCPS staff and community professionals in the educational process.
The role of the Exceptional Children Department is to advocate for the student and ensure student and parental involvement in the educational process.
