Welcome to Jones County Public Schools!
It is with enthusiasm that I welcome everyone to Jones County Schools for the 2008-09 school year. I hope you had a great summer and are ready for a successful school year. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to work with your children to prepare them for success in the 21st century. Each child is special and through a strong partnership with our students' families, we are committed to helping each one reach his or her full potential.
As Superintendent of the Jones County Public Schools I want to assure you that I am committed to open, effective two-way communications district wide. Your input is vital. Our administrators, teachers and central services staff want to be responsive to your questions, suggestions and any concerns you may have. To support our expansion of communication programs I plan to use both print and electronic media to encourage constant interaction between our parents, community and staff.
The Jones County Public Schools has a very full and exciting calendar for the school year; it includes activities, academic programs, cultural arts events, sporting events and more for the students and families to participate in. Becoming involved in the education of your children is imperative to building a community of learners in Jones County. Together we will make a difference in the lives of our students.
